TGD series ultrasonic flow sensors feature many advantages compared with other measurement methods
1. Straight Tubing, No Obstructions
TGD ultrasonic flow sensors feature a straight tubing design that allows fluid to flow unobstructed.
This design minimizes turbulence and pressure drop, ensuring a smooth flow path.
2.No Moving Parts
Traditional turbine flow meters must use sensor probes sticking into the flow channels to "sense" the flow, which disrupts the flow state. The flow accuracy decreases due to the inserted components, as these parts can deteriorate over time.
Unlike the mechanical flow meters, the TGD series ultrasonic flow sensors have no moving parts, reduce mechanical wear and tear, and require less maintenance, leading to more consistent and accurate measurements.
2. Low-Pressure Loss
The TGD ultrasonic flow meters have no moving parts and low-pressure loss, users do not need to implement pressure compensation, allowing for cost savings on pressure transmitters.
3. Wide Measurement Range
The range ratio refers to the range of flow rates that a flow meter can measure accurately, determining its capability to precisely measure both low and high flow rates in the same tubing.
TGD ultrasonic flow sensors have a wide measurement range compared to traditional measurement methods, ideal for applications where flow conditions may vary significantly.
4. Reliable Measurement of Non-Conductive Liquid, Support Corrosive Media Measurement
TGD series ultrasonic sensors can accurately measure non-conductive liquids, which are often challenging for electromagnetic flow sensors that rely on electrical conductivity.
For non-conductive or poorly conductive liquid media, such as deionized water, ultrapure water, and certain organic solvents, electromagnetic flow meters may not be able to function effectively.
Additionally, the TGD sensors are constructed from materials that resist corrosion, allowing them to handle aggressive chemicals and corrosive fluids safely, which makes them suitable for multi-applications, especially in chemical processing environments.
5. Compact in Size
The compact design of the TGD sensors makes them ideal for installations with space constraints. It can be integrated into existing systems without significant modifications or additional space.
This compactness is particularly beneficial in mobile applications, such as drones and portable measurement systems, where space optimization is vital.
6. Light Weight
The lightweight nature of TGD ultrasonic flow sensors facilitates easier installation and handling.
A lighter sensor not only reduces the load on supporting structures but also enhances the overall portability of measurement equipment.
The excessive weight of a flow meter can impose additional stress on the tubing, potentially leading to issues such as deformation or leaks.
When selecting a flow meter, it is important to consider whether its weight is within the load-carrying capacity of the tubing to ensure that there is no damage to the tubing during the installation process.
