The TGU-012 in-line ultrasonic flow sensor is compact and can output results without external circuitry.
The sensors can be integrated into flow lines to measure very low flow rates with high precision. It can achieve 1% accuracy in the 20-100mL/min flow rate range.
Its applications include low-flow monitoring and control in medical devices, bio-processing, semi-conductor, and dosing/filling, etc.
This video shows a simple accuracy test of the TGU-012 ultrasonic in-line flow sensor. A syringe pump is used to inject water at about 48 mL/min through the sensor and tubing, and the injected water is collected by a beaker on a scale. The sensor-measured flow volume can be compared directly with the weight of the water collected, as water has a density very close to 1g/mL (0.997g/mL at 25C, to be exact).
