Because non-contact/external clamp-on ultrasonic flow sensors/flow meters do not come into direct contact with the fluid being measured, they can be repeatedly used without the need for disinfection or gamma irradiation, and do not incur additional costs, making them particularly suitable for high sanitary level environments, such as disposable biopharmaceutical systems.
