1. Products & Selection
Q1: What are the external clip-on ultrasonic flow sensors currently available in Xunyin Technology?
XY-TEK currently provides CG,CM,CS,CPDfour series of external clamp ultrasonic flow sensor, covering the hose and hard tube non-contact flow measurement needs, suitable for medical, biopharmaceutical, laboratory automation, industrial process control and other application scenarios.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Q2: Which clamp-on flow sensors are suitable for measuring hoses? Which are suitable for measuring rigid pipes?
CG series, CM series: mainly usedplastic hoseflow measurement, such as PVC, silicone, TPE, etc;
CS series, CPD series: mainly usedplastic tubeflow measurement, such as PFA, PTFE, PVDF, PP, Nylon, etc. (not applicable to metal pipes).
Q3: Which hose materials can be measured by CG and CM series external clamp flow sensors?
CG, CM series support measurement of the following common hose materials:
PVC Hose
Silicone (silicone) hose
TPE hose
If special hose materials or composite pipes are involved, it is recommended to contact Xunyin Technology Engineer for feasibility evaluation.
Q4: What are the main differences between the CG and CM Series Clip-on Flow Sensors?
Two series differ in functional positioning and interface form:
CM Series: only supportedRS-485 output, which supports deep customization, is commonly usedOEM Integrated Equipment;
CG Series: SupportCurrent, Voltage, RS-485, Digital (Pulse), are more suitable for general-purpose applications and system verification phases.
Q5: What is the range of hose sizes that CG and CM Series Clip-on Flow Sensors can be adapted?
Standard model adapter hose outside diameter (OD) range is4-35mm, I .e.5/32 “-1 3/8”.
If you need to measure other outer diameter sizes of hose, you can support customized solutions.
Q6: Does CG and CM Series Clamp-on Flow Sensors Support Fixed Installation on Equipment Panel?
Support. Both CG and CM series sensors are reserved for mounting screw holes on the back, which can be stably installed on medical equipment, experimental equipment or automation system panels for long-term fixed use.
Q7: Which hard tube materials can be measured by CS and CPD series external clip-on flow sensors?
CS and CPD series are suitable for a variety of plastic rigid pipe materials, including but not limited:
PFA
PTFE / Teflon
PVDF
PP
Nylon
Note: Not applicable to metal piping.
Q8: What is the difference between CS and CPD series external clamp type flow sensor?
Structure Appearance:CPD series comes with display, CS series without display;
Output mode:CS series on the basis of CPD, additional supportvoltage output and pulse output, the interface form is more flexible.
Q9: Which rigid tube sizes can CS and CPD series clamp-on flow sensors be adapted?
- CS Series: applicable OD 1/4 “(6.4mm), 5/16″(7.9mm), 3/8 “(9.5mm), 1/2″(12.7mm), 5/8 “(15.9mm), 3/4″(19.1mm), 1 “(25.4mm);
- CPD Series: 1/4 “, 3/8”, 1/2 “, 3/4”, 1 “outside diameter”.
Other outside diameter dimensions support customization
Q10: Can the external clamp type flow sensor be directly clamped on the pipeline?
Yes. The standard installation method of the external clamp ultrasonic flow sensor isis clamped directly on the outside of the pipeline, no broken pipe, no liquid, installation and maintenance is very convenient.
2. Type & Working Condition
Q11: What liquids can be measured by the external clip-on flow sensor of fast sound technology?
Support water, ultrapure water, low solids aqueous solutions, blood, milk, fruit juices, organic solvents, oils and oily coolants.
Q12: Is it possible to measure corrosive liquids?
If the hard plastic pipe itself can be corrosion resistant, can chooseCS / CPD Series; Hoses are usually not suitable for long-term measurement of corrosive media.
Q13: What is the range of liquid viscosity that can be measured?
CG / CM / CS / CPD:< 5000 cP
TGU Series:< 1000 cP
TPD / TPK series: typically <5000 cP (to be evaluated)
Q14: What is the maximum range of each series of flow sensors?
external clamp type (CG / CM / CS / CPD): 0-100 L/min;
TGU series: up to 3000 mL/min;
TPD series: maximum 0.3-500 L/min.
3. Bubble Detection & Complex Flow Conditions
Q15: Does the fast sound technology flow sensor support bubble detection?
Support. In a certain flow range, it can stably detect bubbles with a diameter ≥ 30% of the inner diameter of the pipe.
Q16: How is the bubble detection result indicated?
It can be displayed by Flowviewer software, RS485 read status bits, or through the switch alarm output.
Q17: How do bubbles affect flow measurement?
A large number of continuous bubbles will cause the flow reading to zero and trigger a bubble indication or alarm.
Q18: Does pulsatile flow affect the measurement when using a peristaltic pump?
It will have an effect, the extent of which depends on the pulsation intensity. The CM series enables millisecond instantaneous pulse tracking.
4. Output Mode, System Integration and Software
Q19: What output modes does the fast sound technology flow sensor support?
It supports RS485, analog (current/voltage), digital pulse, etc., depending on the model.
Q20: Can it be integrated with PLC, Arduino and other systems?
Yes, it support standard RS485 Modbus protocol, compatible with mainstream control system.
Q21: Is it tied to a specific brand of pump?
It is not bound and can be used in conjunction with peristaltic pumps, syringe pumps, diaphragm pumps, etc.
Q22: How to view and record traffic data in real time?
It can be viewed and recorded through the display screen, Flowviewer PC software or PLC, and the data can be exported in CSV format.
5. Measurement Performance, Accuracy and Calibration
Q23: What is the measurement accuracy of the fast sound technology flow sensor?
CG / CM:±3% RD
CS / CPD / TPD:±2% RD
TGU:±1% RD
Q24: Is zero calibration supported? When is calibration required?
Yes. It is recommended to perform the zero point calibration in the field, full of liquid and no flow.
Q25: Does it support multiple sets of calibrations for different lines or liquids?
Yes. Multiple sets of K-factor can be saved for different line, liquid and temperature combinations.
Q22: How to view and record traffic data in real time?
It can be viewed and recorded through the display screen, Flowviewer PC software or PLC, and the data can be exported in CSV format.
